Last updated: 21 October 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of this website and to the services provided by EDYCAR AUTO BODYREPAIR LTD, trading as Coventry Body Shop. By booking with us you agree to them. If you are a consumer, they do not affect your legal rights.

2. Website Use

The content of this website is for general information. We may change content, service details, prices, availability or features at any time.

You must not misuse this website, try to gain unauthorised access to it, or interfere with how it works.

Who we are online. Coventry Body Shop and Mirage Body Shop are trading names of EDYCAR AUTO BODYREPAIR LTD, company number 14618944. Our official websites are coventrybodyshop.co.uk and miragebodyshop.co.uk. We have no connection with any other business that uses a similar name.

Search engines, directories and AI assistants. Search engines such as Google and Bing, maps, online directories and AI assistants such as ChatGPT are run by other companies. They gather information from public sources and decide for themselves what they show, how they describe a business and which website they link to. We do not control their results, and we cannot change, redirect or remove what they show about us or about any other business. What these services say about us is not a statement by us; the information on this website is. If one of them shows wrong information about us or about another business, please report it to that service through its own feedback or reporting tools. If it concerns us, please also tell us through our contact form.

3. Quotes and Bookings

  • Quotes are given without obligation. All quotes and estimates depend on our inspection of the vehicle.
  • Inspections. A small inspection, where we look at the damage so that we can quote, is free. If a deep inspection is needed, a more detailed check that we explain to you first, it costs from £240 including VAT (£200 plus VAT). We tell you the price and ask for your agreement before we start it. If you go ahead with the repair, the deep inspection charge is taken off your repair bill. If you do not go ahead, you pay for the deep inspection only.
  • Quotes given from photos or messages are provisional and may change once we have seen the vehicle.
  • Prices from our online Vehicle Repair Estimator are an automatic guide, not a quote.
  • A booking is confirmed only when we accept it and tell you so.
  • We may refuse or cancel a booking where the condition of the vehicle, safety concerns, parts availability or the information given to us makes the work unsuitable. If we cancel, you pay nothing for work we have not carried out.

4. Price Changes and Extra Work

If we find further damage, or work is needed that was not in your quote, we will contact you with an updated quote before we continue. We will not carry out extra chargeable work without your agreement, and we will confirm that agreement in writing; a text, email or message is enough.

5. Your Responsibilities

  • Give us accurate and complete information about the vehicle, the damage and any earlier repairs.
  • Remove personal belongings and valuables from the vehicle before you hand it over.
  • Collect the vehicle within a reasonable time after we tell you the work is complete, unless we agree otherwise.
  • Respect for our staff. Treat our team with respect, in person, by phone and in writing. We do not accept abuse, threats, violence, harassment (including sexual harassment) or discriminatory behaviour, such as racist remarks, towards our staff or other customers, whether by you or by anyone acting for you. If this happens, a manager will consider what happened and may decide to refuse a booking, stop work or end our agreement with you, and we will tell you our decision. You then pay only for the work carried out up to that time (section 6.3), and we will arrange a time for you to collect your vehicle. We may report threats or violence to the police. We never refuse anyone because of who they are, such as their race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability or age.

6. Cancelling or Moving a Booking

6.1 You can cancel at any time. You can cancel or move a booking at any time, free of charge. We do not take deposits. Please tell us as early as you can by calling +44 7903 105777 or through our contact form, so that we can offer the slot to another customer and find you a new date.

6.2 Work already carried out. If you cancel after we have carried out a deep inspection you agreed to (section 3), or after repair work has started at your request, you pay only for the work done up to the time you tell us. Nothing else is charged.

6.3 If we cancel. If we cancel or move your appointment, or cannot carry out the work, you pay nothing for work we have not done.

6.4 Your legal right to cancel. If you are a consumer and you book with us online, by phone or by message, without agreeing the work in person at our workshop, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of the day we confirm your booking, without giving a reason.

  • If no deep inspection or work has been carried out, you pay nothing, and we refund anything you have paid within 14 days of being told that you are cancelling.
  • If you ask us to carry out a deep inspection or start the work within those 14 days and then cancel, you pay for what we have done up to the time you tell us: the price of the deep inspection, or a fair share of the price for the work carried out.
  • Once the work has been completed at your request, you can no longer cancel.
  • This right does not apply to work you agree in person at our workshop.

To cancel, tell us clearly by phone, through our contact form or in writing to our workshop. You may use the form below, but you do not have to.

7. Payment

Prices on our website and in our online Vehicle Repair Estimator are “from” prices and do not include VAT, which is added at the current rate. Your written quote shows the price, the VAT and the total you pay. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, payment is due when the work is complete and before the vehicle is released. We accept cash, bank transfer and debit and credit cards. For insurance work, we arrange payment with your insurer. We may keep the vehicle until payment has cleared, where the law allows.

8. Workmanship and Warranty

We carry out all work to a high professional standard and with reasonable care and skill, as the law requires. Our workmanship on every job is guaranteed for 6 months from the date you collect your vehicle. The guarantee covers the labour and the quality of our work. Parts are covered by the manufacturer's or supplier's warranty, which we will confirm when you accept your quote.

The guarantee does not cover:

  • faults that existed before our work, or later faults unrelated to it;
  • normal wear and tear;
  • damage caused after collection by misuse, accidents, other people or not following our care advice;
  • parts covered only by the manufacturer's or supplier's own terms.

If something goes wrong, tell us as soon as you can and let us inspect the vehicle. If our work is at fault, we will put it right free of charge. This guarantee is in addition to your legal rights.

9. Our Responsibility to You

If we break these Terms or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable.

We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude.

Belongings left in the vehicle are at your own risk, unless they are lost or damaged through our negligence.

If you are a business customer, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of use of the vehicle.

10. Delays Outside Our Control

We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as supplier or courier delays, severe weather or system failures. If this happens, we will tell you as soon as we can and agree a new date with you.

11. Intellectual Property

The content, branding, logos, text, images and media on this website belong to or are licensed to EDYCAR AUTO BODYREPAIR LTD. You must not copy or use them commercially without our permission.

12. Privacy and Cookies

How we use personal data and cookies is explained in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

13. Complaints

If you are unhappy with our work or service, please tell us by calling +44 7903 105777 or through our contact form, so that we can put it right. We will look into your complaint, keep you updated and tell you the outcome. If we cannot resolve it, we will tell you in writing about any alternative dispute resolution scheme that may help.

14. Your Legal Rights

If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your legal rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 our work must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, and what we tell you about the service, if you rely on it, is binding. If the work does not meet this standard, you can ask us to put it right at no cost to you; if that is not possible or not done within a reasonable time, you can ask for a price reduction, which may be a full refund. For free advice about your rights, contact Citizens Advice.

15. Law and Courts

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales may hear any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published when you make a booking applies to that booking.
