A short drive, and a separate repair allowance
We get calls from drivers in Hinckley, and the time a repair takes is worth planning as carefully as the drive. The drive is the easy part. From the town centre our Coventry workshop is about 11 miles away by the M69 and the A46, around 16 minutes with clear roads. Allow longer at peak times.
The repair is the part to plan for. Small jobs are sometimes finished the same day, but it is safer to allow one to two days. Bigger repairs take longer; the repair-time answer in the questions further down gives the usual range.

The A46 end of the journey
Hinckley is in Leicestershire (LE10), about nine miles from us in a straight line. We are on the east side of Coventry at Star Industrial Park, Wyken, a short way from University Hospital Coventry.
The last miles from the M69 run along the A46 and the B4082, right where National Highways is rebuilding the Walsgrave junction. Construction is scheduled from autumn 2026 and the new junction is due to open in 2028, with traffic management and some overnight closures until then.
