Ten miles by the A45, nineteen using the M6
For drivers in Meriden village, CV7, the two approaches to our workshop differ much more in mileage than in estimated driving time. The A45 journey covers about 10 miles and takes roughly 21 minutes without traffic. The M6 alternative is about 19 miles, with a traffic-free estimate of 24 minutes. Busy periods can extend either journey.
So the motorway is nearly twice the distance for about the same time at the wheel.
Allow for the approach into Wyken
In a straight line the workshop is about 8.5 miles away. The A45 way runs through the city on the ring road, Foleshill Road and Harnall Lane East to Ansty Road; the motorway way leaves the M6 at Ansty Interchange and finishes on the B4082.
National Highways is rebuilding the A46 Walsgrave junction, with construction scheduled from autumn 2026 and opening planned for 2028. Temporary traffic arrangements and overnight closures affecting either the A46 or B4082 may alter the motorway approach, so check the junction works information before setting off.
Both end at Star Industrial Park in Wyken (CV2 5DB), under a mile from University Hospital Coventry.
Put a repair figure beside the journey
We repair dents, scratches, scuffs, bumpers and paintwork, straighten bent panels and undertake resprays. For an initial cost indication, the body repair estimator produces an instant estimate using the affected panels, your vehicle type and its paint type. The amount is an estimate. A quick inspection at the workshop is free; a deeper one is from £240 including VAT (£200 plus VAT) and is taken off the bill if you go ahead.
Allow one to two days for most jobs when you look at the booking calendar.
