Allow for more than the drive from Northampton
For a driver setting out from Northampton, a body repair in Coventry involves two separate time allowances: getting there and having the work done. From the NN1 town centre in West Northamptonshire the route is about 33 miles, against roughly 26 miles in a straight line. Without traffic, the drive takes around 44 minutes; busy periods will extend that.
Small repairs can sometimes be completed within the day, though you should allow one to two days. Larger repairs need longer. So plan for the car staying with us, not just for the drive.
Put an initial cost beside the time commitment
The repair estimator gives an instant estimate using the panels affected, your vehicle type and its paint type. That figure is an estimate only. A quick inspection here is free, and no work starts until you agree a written, itemised estimate.

Check the Coventry approach before travelling
The route is the M1 and M6 to Ansty Interchange, then the A4600 and the B4082 Clifford Bridge Road, so check the Coventry end as well as the motorway.
National Highways is rebuilding the A46 Walsgrave junction, with construction scheduled from autumn 2026 and opening planned for 2028. Temporary traffic arrangements and closures overnight may affect either the B4082 or A46; check the Walsgrave scheme information before travelling.
The last turns are Farren Road and Bodmin Road, into Star Industrial Park (CV2 5DB). University Hospital Coventry is the landmark to look for; we are under a mile from it.
