A 36-mile trip from Redditch
Redditch (B97) is roughly 22 miles from us in a straight line, but the drive is about 36 miles. Even a small patch of damaged paint means weighing that journey up first.
M40 or M6: almost the same
- The M40 option: about 36 miles, with a driving time of around 43 minutes when there is no traffic. Allow longer during busy periods.
- The M6 option: about 36 miles too, taking around 44 minutes in traffic-free conditions. Congestion will add to that figure.
The M40 way comes in on the A46 Coventry Eastern Bypass; the M6 way leaves at Ansty Interchange and takes the A4600. Both finish at Star Industrial Park in Wyken (CV2 5DB), a short distance from University Hospital Coventry.
The A46 Walsgrave junction rebuild is scheduled from autumn 2026, with the replacement junction expected to open during 2028. Traffic restrictions and overnight road closures form part of the works, so check National Highways' information about the scheme before setting off.
