Fewer miles from Warwick, but a little more time
From Warwick (CV34), about 11 miles away in a straight line, the shorter drive is not the quicker one. Allow extra time at busy periods either way.
Both start on the A46 Kenilworth Bypass, then split:
- Stay on the A46 to the Coventry Eastern Bypass and the B4082: about 14 miles, with a traffic-free journey estimate of 21 minutes.
- Leave for the A444 and London Road, ending on Hipswell Highway: about 12.5 miles, with a traffic-free journey estimate of 23 minutes. This one keeps clear of the Walsgrave junction works.
The gap is just over a mile against two minutes.
Finding the workshop and checking the works
Either way you end on Belgrave Road and Bodmin Road at Star Industrial Park (CV2 5DB), about three quarters of a mile from University Hospital Coventry.
National Highways is rebuilding the A46 Walsgrave junction, with construction scheduled from autumn 2026 and opening planned for 2028. Before travelling, check National Highways' Walsgrave works information for traffic management arrangements and overnight closures affecting either the A46 or B4082.
Consider the repair alongside the journey
We repair dents, scratches, scuffs, bumpers and paintwork, as well as straightening bent panels and carrying out resprays.
The repair estimator offers an instant cost estimate using the damaged panels, your vehicle type and its paint type. It is an estimate only. The work carries a six-month guarantee, and no deposit is taken to book.
When the figure makes sense, view workshop dates.
