Understanding Car Respray Costs in the UK
Respray prices depend on how much of the car is painted and how much preparation the bodywork needs. Every price on this page is a starting price. The final price is set once we inspect the car, and the quote shows the price, the VAT and the total.
A single panel repaint starts from £150 plus VAT (£180 including VAT). A full respray starts from £1,495 plus VAT (£1,794 including VAT) and keeps the car with us for 3 to 7 days. On a full respray, the old finish is prepared, and dents and chips are repaired where needed before the colour goes on. All paint is sprayed in our spray booth at Wyken.
Auto Body Repair Techniques for Dents and Chips
Where the paint has not cracked, paintless dent repair may be able to work a small dent back out, from £90 plus VAT (£108 including VAT) per panel, or from £185 plus VAT (£222 including VAT) for a medium dent. Bent panels are straightened by panel beating and then filled where needed and painted. That job is our panel dent repair and respray, from £175 plus VAT (£210 including VAT).
For a chip or a small scuff, our SMART repair aims to keep the work to a small area, from £75 plus VAT (£90 including VAT). Small jobs are sometimes done the same day, but allow 1 to 2 days.
We do not cut or weld metal panels. If your car needs that, we will tell you and recommend a garage we have trusted with welding work before.
Precision Paint Correction and Colour Matching
Paint correction is machine polishing that can take swirl marks and light scratches out of the clear lacquer, depending on how deep they go. Polishing removes a little of the surface, and we have a paint depth gauge for checking the paint thickness. Scratch removal and machine polish is priced per panel, from £120 plus VAT (£144 including VAT).
Paint can vary slightly between batches and fade with age. For colour matching we use the manufacturer's paint code, specialist colour mixing and a spectrophotometer. On a panel repaint, the new colour can be blended into the paint around it to help hide the join. All of the painting is done by the director, a former Aston Martin technician and painter.
Bumper Repair Services
On a plastic bumper, a scuff can often be repaired, with paint where it is needed, and some cracks can be plastic welded and filled.

Vehicle Paint Protection and Detailing
We offer machine polishing and paint protection. Neither makes paint scratch-proof, and a scratch that has gone through the lacquer needs paint, not polish.
New paint needs time to cure first, so after a repair, ask us when protection can go on.
Accident Repair and Insurance Processes
After an accident, we can supply photographs and a quote for your insurer, and deal with the insurer for you if you want. We are insured but not insurer-approved, so check with your insurer how it handles a body shop you choose.
Accident damage we repair includes dents, scrapes, cracked bumpers and bent panels, but not metal cutting or welding. A bolt-on panel that cannot be saved, such as a bumper or a front wing, can be replaced, and the replacement is priced in your quote.
