We look at the damage first and tell you whether the bumper can be repaired or needs replacing. Some cracks and splits in a plastic bumper can be plastic welded and filled. Others are past saving. Those bumpers are replaced. A replacement is priced in the quote once we have seen the car.

Paint correction is machine polishing that can remove swirl marks and light scratches from the clear coat, depending on how deep they go. It can also bring some gloss back to older paint that has gone dull.
Each pass removes a little of the surface, and we have a paint depth gauge for checking the paint thickness. Scratch Removal & Machine Polish is priced per panel, from £120 plus VAT (£144 including VAT).
Polishing cannot put colour back. Lacquer that has started to peel needs repainting, and we will say so once we have seen the car.
Efficient SMART Repair Solutions
SMART repair (Small to Medium Area Repair Technology) aims to keep the repair to a small area around the damage instead of repainting the whole panel. Whether it suits a scuff or a chip depends on the damage, and we will tell you when a wider repair is needed.
For a dent where the paint has not cracked, paintless dent repair may be the better choice, because the dent is worked back out and the existing paint stays on. It is priced per panel, from £90 plus VAT (£108 including VAT) for a small dent. A SMART Repair starts from £75 plus VAT (£90 including VAT). Small jobs are sometimes finished on the day, though it is safer to allow 1 to 2 days.
Accident Repair and Insurance Claim Support
For an insurance claim, we can supply photographs and a quote for your insurer, and we can deal with the insurer for you if you want us to. Coventry Body Shop is not an insurer-approved repairer, so check with your insurer how it handles a repair at a body shop you choose.
Accident work here covers dents, scrapes, cracked bumpers and bent panels, which are straightened by panel beating. We do not cut or weld metal panels. If your car needs that, we will tell you and recommend a garage we have trusted with welding work before.
Vehicle Paint Protection for Long-Lasting Value
At the workshop we machine polish paintwork and apply paint protection, though we do not apply ceramic coatings. Chips and scratches that go through the clear lacquer still need a repair.
