Expert Car Body Repairs for Binley Drivers
Our workshop is not in Binley. It is in Wyken (CV2), on the east side of Coventry, under a mile from University Hospital Coventry. There is no collection or delivery. You drop the car off and pick it up when the job is done.
The work ranges from a stone chip or a scuffed bumper to a single panel repaint or a full respray. For small damage, SMART repairs aim to keep the work to a small area. Bent panels are straightened, and a bolt-on part that is beyond repair, such as a bumper or a front wing, can be replaced.
To get a price, send photos of the damage by WhatsApp to +44 7903 105777 or through the Send enquiry button. You can also call the same number. A small inspection costs nothing. A deep inspection is from £200 plus VAT (£240 including VAT) and comes off the bill if you go ahead with the repair. You pay no deposit to book, and moving or cancelling a booking is free.
We also have pages for drivers in Stoke, Earlsdon, Foleshill and Cheylesmore, and in Kenilworth and Warwick.
Precision Vehicle Paint Repair
On a panel repair, preparation comes first: any bent metal is straightened, then the damaged area is sanded back and filled where needed before it is primed. Colour goes on next, followed by clear lacquer, which gives the gloss and protects the colour underneath.
We mix the colour to your car's paint code. Paint can vary a little between batches and fade over the years, and then it may no longer match the code exactly. We can also check it against the car with a spectrophotometer. On a single panel repaint, the new colour is blended into the paint around it to help hide the join. The company director, a former Aston Martin technician and painter, does all of the painting himself, in our spray booth.
A single panel repaint is from £150 plus VAT (£180 including VAT). For small chips and marks, a paint touch-up starts lower, from £49 plus VAT (£58.80 including VAT). In both cases the final price is set once we have seen the car.
Comprehensive Bumper Repair Solutions
A scuff that has not split the plastic may need only preparation and paint. Some cracks can be plastic welded and filled. Other breaks are past repair, and then the bumper is better replaced.
The price of a bumper repair is set once we have seen the damage. A bumper respray is from £210 plus VAT (£252 including VAT). If the bumper carries parking sensors or a camera, mention it when you get in touch.
Advanced Paint Correction Techniques
Paint correction is for marks that sit in the clear coat, such as swirl marks and fine scratches, and it can sometimes bring back paint that has gone dull. The paint must be clean first, or grit gets ground into the surface during polishing.
Polishing takes a little off the surface each time, and we have a paint depth gauge for checking the paint thickness. Our scratch removal and machine polish service is priced per panel, from £120 plus VAT (£144 including VAT). A scratch that has gone through to the colour coat cannot be polished out, so it needs paint, which we confirm once we have seen it.
SMART Repair: Efficient Minor Damage Solutions
SMART stands for Small to Medium Area Repair Technology. Instead of repainting a whole panel, the aim is to keep the repair to the damaged area, such as a chipped door edge or a scuffed bumper corner. Some damage needs a wider repair, and we will say so when we see it.
SMART repair starts from £75 plus VAT (£90 including VAT). Dents where the paint is unbroken may suit paintless dent repair, priced per panel from £90 plus VAT (£108 including VAT) for a small dent. Some small jobs are done on the same day, but plan for 1 to 2 days.
Accident Repair: Restoring Dented Panels and Bumpers
For an insurance claim, we can supply photographs and a quote for your insurer, and if you want us to, we will deal with the insurer for you. We are insured, but we are not on any insurer's approved list.
Accident repairs here cover dented or bent panels and cracked bumpers. We do not cut or weld metal panels. If your car needs that, we will tell you and recommend a garage we have trusted with welding work before.
Vehicle Paint Protection: Preserving Appearance
Alongside repairs, we offer machine polishing and paint protection. Polishing removes a very thin layer of the surface to take out light marks, so it suits fine scratches rather than stone chips or dents.
Freshly sprayed paint needs to cure before protection is applied, so if your car has just been repaired, ask us how long to leave it.
Commitment to Quality and Longevity
A price from photos is a guide. The final price is set after we inspect the car, and the quote shows the price, the VAT and the total.
Every repair carries our 6-month workmanship guarantee from the day you collect the car. For a bigger job, a full body respray starts from £1,495 plus VAT (£1,794 including VAT) and takes 3 to 7 days.
